Using An Espresso Coffee Maker

Espresso is a type of strong coffee brewed by forcing steam under pressure through darkly roasted, powdered coffee beans. A device that brews coffee quickly is known as an espresso coffee maker. Lovers of coffee beverages find it hard to resist the distinct taste of coffee brewed with an espresso machine. Besides espresso coffee, espresso machines can make other drinks like lattes and cappuccinos.

Workings Of An Espresso Coffee Maker

An espresso coffee maker works by forcing hot water and steam through finely ground coffee beans. A cup of cappuccino can be brewed with an espresso machine by topping the drink with espresso steamed milk. Latte is actually a blend of espresso and velvetized foam and can also be made with an espresso machine.

Making Espresso With An Espresso Coffee Maker

Making espresso with an espresso coffee maker is quite simple. All you have to do is follow these steps:

Pour water in the espresso machine's reservoir and turn the machine on. Wait for the water in the machine's heating chamber to boil. Place fine coffee grounds in the coffee holder and pack it down. Water will be drawn out of the reservoir as you press the pump contained on the espresso machine. The water is pumped into the heating chamber of the espresso coffeemaker at a high pressure. Hot water is pushed through the ground coffee beans and out of the coffee holder spout of the espresso machine into your coffee cup. A nice espresso cup is ready to relish.

Espresso Machines For Home

Many different brands of espresso coffee makers are commercially available for home use. They differ in their heating source, price, and special features. Saeco, Gaggia, Jura, Rancilio, Schaerer, Bialetti, and Kontessa are some of the internationally famous espresso machine brands for home use.

Cleaning Your Home Espresso Coffee Maker

Users of automatic espresso coffee makers do not bother with cleaning their machine as it comes with pre-programmed cleaning and descaling cycles. However, the conventional domestic manual espresso machines need to be cleaned in order to prevent oily deposits that may spoil the taste of espresso and to keep the machine in good working order. For such machines, clean the milk want thoroughly with a damp cloth after every episode of espresso making. Release some steam to expel any milk left and clean the nozzle holes. If not using the machine for a while, it is recommended to empty the grounds from the filter basket and rinse the basket with some water from the group head. Wipe it with a damp cloth. Replace it and run some water through it so as to rinse out any remaining coffee from the spouts.
